Prepare the car: Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and loosen the lug nuts on the wheel. Lift the car: Use a jack to raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel. Access the strut: Open the hood and locate the strut mount bolts on top of the strut tower. Remove the strut: Unbolt the strut from the steering knuckle and the strut tower. Use a spring compressor to safely compress the coil spring if replacing just the strut. Install new strut: Place the new strut assembly in position and bolt it securely to the strut tower and steering knuckle.
